*ALL students are to be present for ALL Communication Activities.*

TO PREPARE FOR OUR CLASS THIS WEEK, DO THE FOLLOWING:

Checking for Understanding Activity: Communication Activities Website
  • Go online and do a search for "Communication Activities," "Communication Activities for ELL's," etc.
  • Provide the name and URL of the website. (For example, "Using Communication Games to Teach English." URL: http://tinyurl.com/ksz9kmh)
    • By the way, if your URL is very long, you can shorten by highlighting and copying the URL, going to tinyurl.com, and following the directions.
  • Then write a brief (usually about 150 words) descriptive and evaluative paragraph. The purpose of the paragraph is to inform the reader of the content and its relevance. For example, what types of activities are included on the website - activities to assist in the students' oral production, games, writing activities?
  • This website could actually be the source you used for your Communication Activity.
  • Send this assignment to me at ProfessorVerkler@aol.com as an email attachment. Type "CFU - Communication Activities Website" in the Subject Field of your email.
  • This assignment is due prior to our class meeting this week. Hard copy format of this assignment will NOT be accepted this week.
